Réenchanter la science

The biologist Rupert Sheldrake, pioneer in the discovery of the cellular ageing process, inventor of the theory of morphic resonance, also had a scientific interest in subjects such as telepathy and extra-sensory perception... In this work, he has no qualms about casting doubt on the very basis of fundamental research, founded on beliefs dating back centuries and at that point established as untouchable dogma: nature is a great soulless machine and its laws are immutable; matter has no consciousness; so-called paranormal phenomena and free will are illusions; consciousness is merely a physical activity within the brain and God is a concept created by our neurones...
