This treatise by Alexandre Jollien aims to open up a path towards inner freedom and conceive of an art of living which would encompass the highs and lows of existence. Abandonment, friendship, determination, fragility, selflessness... are all paths that Alexandre Jollien endeavours to experience on a daily basis, drawing on small occurrences, be they happy or otherwise, which punctuate his life (an encounter, his children's’ reflections, a quarrel, impatience, anguish…), the resources to freely embrace them. He thereby maps out “an art of living which strips us of excess and helps us to discover the courage to dance joyfully in the heart of existence”. This book is accompanied by an MP3 format CD (2 hours 30 min), which carries a recording made by the author of the text. “To be true, ridding myself of masks, daring abandon rather than combat, this is what guides me along this voyage of existence, where we can never remain settled.
