Manifeste pour les animaux

In this manifesto, Franz-Olivier Giesbert addresses animal welfare and targets received ideas by showing, for instance, that the greatest philosophers railed against the suffering inflicted upon animals by man, and that this has been so since Antiquity. He details his vision of vegetarianism and its medical, ecological and ethical rationale. Alongside him, either other figures, from the philosopher to the butcher, the researcher to the trainer, speak of their privileged relationship with the animal world.
