 Four years before is death, Carl Gustav Jung, one of the principal founders of psychoanalysis, became his own witness. Very few external events: the childhood of a minister’s son, psychiatric struggles of the beginning of the century, travels in South America and New Mexico, the symbolic construction of the Bollingen Tower: numerous autobiographical details which nevertheless clarify the origin of one of the works which influenced him the most the contemporary rise of depth psychology. It is also the meeting with Freud, then the disputes with the master, until the departure of the presumptive heir with regards to the role of sexuality in the development of the psyche. However, these adventures are only discussed in relation to the more fundamental happenings of the conscious and the unconscious.  “My life is a story of the self-realisation of the unconscious”
