Les Vers d’or

Although attributed to Pythagoras, the golden verses are in all likelihood a collective work, enabling us to approach the teachings of Pythagoras through a series of spiritual precepts. This edition offers both the original Greek text and its French translation. The notes which follow it shed particular light on the text, in order to avoid certain misunderstandings for the modern reader. However, what is essential can only be attained through the tireless meditation on these verses which the centuries have not stripped of their extraordinary, ascetic value.
