For Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin, numbers are an abridged translation, or a concise language, of truths and laws whose text and ideas are within God, within man and within nature. He invites us to reflect on the metaphysical aspects of numbers. All the while specifying their symbolic meaning according to the Martinist tradition, he refrains from dogma, inviting each of us to go further in our research. This edition was produced from the original treatise manuscript. This is in fact a posthumous work by the Unknown Philosopher.
