What happens during the first weeks following death?  Is there life after death? Can we get I touch with the dead?  After the death of his father, the investigative journalist Stéphane Allix conducted a disconcerting experiment to try to answer these questions: he placed a number of objects on the coffin, and asked six mediums who claim to be able to communicate with the beyond to contact deceased members of his family, in the hope that his father would manifest himself and name the objects.

In the book he gives a detailed account of who he met in the beyond, what these people revealed about their lives and how he was able to prove, with surprising precision, the truth behind what they said, by questioning members of his family.  He also describes the professional background of the six mediums who helped him in his experiment and shows how these very different people use their gifts and how they enter into contact with the deceased.  An objective and moving account that gives hope to all those who have lost a loved one.
