Le Mandala, miroir de soi

The mandala is both the symbol and the manifestation the ultimate reality of the universe. For millennia, in all traditions, man has used them as a means of expression, spiritual transformation and personal accomplishment. This work shows us the continuity between the ancestral practice and the modern day practice of the mandala, drawing on the efforts of Jung, who himself worked on the mandalas created by his patients. Through the examples taken from his own experience as a psychotherapist, the author emphasises the psychological impact of the practice of the mandala, which develops attention and concentration, recentres and relieves stress... But its benefits go much further. Colouring in a mandala, creating or contemplating one is never meaningless, it is a personal adventure, a moment of inner reflection, a private encounter with oneself which engages our spiritual dimension. The mandala enables us to achieve resonance with the centre of our being, which Jung called the Self, a centre of divine essence. Through the practice of the mandala, we connect ourselves with the sacred being within us, with God and the Universe.
