L'initiation mystique

What is Mystical Initiation and what is its goal?  Using these two questions as a starting point, Rudolph Berrouët studies the path of the seeker who engages in an initiatory process, driven by the thirst for self-knowledge and aspiring to be as one with the universe and with God.  Such a search relies on a surge of the soul and becomes a life project that will find its fulfilment at the end of a progressive journey, the stages of which are set out by the author.  The finality of it is Illumination, which leads to Wisdom:  the person who has experienced this can then act in the world and for the world, impelled solely by their Master Within, the expression of the Divine within them.
