This book starts at the point at which normal biographies end: stood next to his coffin, Franchezzo, the wealthiest of aristocrats, discovers that he is dead. Only being faintly aware of spiritual ideas, he refuses to acknowledge his condition, then, dismayed, he begins to explore his environment until a begins to discover the different spheres making up what the Gospels refer to as “the many homes” of the Father.
