Gesar de Ling – L’épopée du guerrier de Shambhala

Gesar of Ling is one of the most important books of traditional Tibetan literature, dating from the 12th Century. The hero, Gesar, is gifted with bravery, but remains mortal. He shares his lot of human suffering, but his faultless endeavour enables him to transcend and reach the ultimate goal of Buddhahood. This is why he enshrines the eternal values of dignity, respect for oneself and others and the courage to be oneself. Gesar is the embodiment of Bodhisattva: complete self-abnegation.
