Alice works for a Parisian communication consultancy firm. On finding out that a childhood friend, a priest in Cluny, has been deeply affected by the desertion of his parishioners, she decides to help out. With her professional skills behind her, she is confident about producing convincing arguments and innovative ways of filling his church once again. However, the young woman, a self-confessed atheist with no interest in any form of spirituality, doesn’t for one moment suspect that she is to be profoundly transformed by the message of Christ, and experience revelation after revelation over the course of her discovery of other traditions, such as Buddhism and Taoism. This initiatory novel raises a number of questions: Are Christian and eastern traditions as far removed from each other as we might think? How can we love others without loving ourselves?
