For Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin (1743-1803), prayer is the fundamental key of the mystic path, and even of initiation. It is the purest act of which man is capable. The precise aim of this book is to offer Men of Desire, to those on the quest for the Absolute, the expert advice of the Unknown Philosopher on this art. The first part of this work is dedicated to advice on the way in which to withdraw into the calm of one’s inner temple, in order to pray.
