Nesting box

Over 60 species of bird are known to use nesting houses. Of course, they all need different sizes. This one, with it's entrance hole of 28 mm, will be the house of choice for little passerines, blue tits, titmice, and wrens. But nesting houses also often serve as resting places: birds take refuge overnight and thereby scout out future nesting areas. Should be placed around 2 m off the ground, against a house or tree, avoiding front-on rain or full sunlight. Cedar wood. This nesting house is certified FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), according to guidelines which aim to make use of forests while respecting their ecology and wildlife.
