Le mystère des cathédrales

Cathedrals are books of stone in which the secrets of alchemy are recorded: this is the message revealed in this book published in 1926 under the pseudonym of Fulcanelli. Behind the biblical scenes decorating medallions and bas-reliefs, on the very plans of the buildings is hidden an esoteric message reserved solely to the initiated: the achievement of the Magnum Opus. Salamanders, griffins and other mythical creatures, labyrinths, athanors and even other motifs belonging to the symbolism of alchemy also offer us initiation to other operations carried out by the master in his quest for the philosopher’s stone. Fulcanelli, a French alchemist born in the 19th Century, whose exact identity remains unknown even today, devoted himself to decoding Notre-Dame de Paris, Notre-Dame d’Amiens, the Hendaye Cross, as well as the Jacques-Cœur Palace and Lallemant Hotel in Bourges. His books immerse us in the mysteries of alchemy, thanks to him, royal art will regain its former glory having for a long time been relegated to the rank of a pre-scientific relic.
