Esh metsvaref – Le feu de l'alchimiste

Esh metsaref, written towards the end of the 16th Century by an anonymous Italian Kabbalist, is one of the rare treatises to combine study of the Kabalah and alchemy. It details the symbolic meanings of metals and their relationships with the spiritual dimension of the Sephiroth. This translation presented by Georges Lahy is accompanied by numerous annotations. It draws on the Latin text published during the Renaissance by the Christian Kabbalist Christian Knorr von Rosenroth in the Kabbala denudata.
