Philosophy of the 3rd Century AD, Plotinus constructed some of the most important metaphysics in Western history. The life of the perfect Mind tirelessly supports the life of the body and the life of the soul. For man, it is therefore a question of discovering his true nature and integrating it into the world order, through the spiritual life represented by philosophy. His work was brought together by one of his disciples, Porphyry, who ordered the fifty-four treatises into six Enneads, each containing nine treatises.
