BEAU LIVRE DE LA TERRE

The Beautiful Book of the Earth retraces the two hundred major stages of the history of the Earth: each stage is introduced by a heading ("When the Channel was a river”, “Global effect of a meteorite", etc.), then a sub-heading preceding a concise and well-documented text with, an excellent corresponding photograph. Each chapter depicts key events: the formation of the Moon, the appearance of water, the development of the first life forms, etc. Human history in inserted into the history of the Earth, first within the context of the appearance of the human race, then that of the exploration of the Earth by man.
